Special Events Over the course of the academic year, Commonwealth College recognizes its students’ hard work. At the onset of the fall semester, Labor Day Orientation serves as a welcome to incoming freshman honors students. In March, undergraduate students are invited to present their research and creative work in oral or poster presentations to fellow students, faculty and other guests at the Undergraduate Research Conference. Seniors are honored for their four years of academic distinction at the Celebration of Excellence, which precedes the University's commencement ceremonies in May.
