Peer Intern

Peer Interns learn the ins and outs of the Commonwealth College Office by taking a leadership course, working in the office 3 hours per week, and attending weekly training meetings. This course prepares students to apply for a position as a Commonwealth College Peer Advisor or Program/Event Coordinator. Additionally, it can be a great first step toward becoming a Peer Mentor in a First Year Experience Hall or other leadership positions on campus.

Peer Internship Requirements:

  • Enroll in 3 credits pass/fail course Honors 298A (this will NOT meet Honors Requirements)
  • Attend weekly peer meetings Mondays from 5:00pm- 6:00pm
  • Work for three internship hours/week in the ComCol office
  • Attend one day of training with Peer Advisors
