Skinner Mountain Hike (optional)

Finish your orientation with a scenic hike in
the local area. Join us on the Sunday after
the Welcome Weekend for a hike up Skinner Mountain (level = moderate to strenuous). The 45 minute hike ends at
The Summit House, a popular mountaintop hotel in the 1800’s. Atop
the mountain you will be able to see
spectacular views of the Connecticut River Valley, including the University. We will
picnic at the top of the mountain and then
descend back down to the base.
