DON QUIXOTE is coming....

"Finally, he resolved to call himself Don Quixote....[and] like a good knight, he decided to add the name of his country to him own and called himself Don Quixote de la Mancha .... [proclaiming] his parentage and native land and honored it by taking his surname from it."

El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha, Part I, Chapter 1, published in 1605 Miguel de Cervantes

News @ Commonwealth College

DON QUIXOTE is coming....

“[I]t struck him that there was only one more thing to do: to find a lady to be enamored of. For a knight errant without a lady is like a tree without leaves or fruit and a body without a soul…. [I]n a village near his there was a very good-looking farm girl…. Her name was Aldonza Lorenzo, and she it was he thought fit to call the lady of his fancies…. [H]e resolved to call her Dulcinea del Toboso –for she was a native of El Toboso….”

(Don Quijote de La Mancha, I, 1)
