OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENT INVOLVEMENT IN CAMPUS SUSTAINABILITY
The UMass Environmental Performance Advisory Committee (commonly known as EPAC) is a group of administrators, faculty and students established to contribute to the university's overall level sustainability. For more information about this group, check out the UMass website (http://www.umass.edu/epac/EPAC.htm).
When UMass signed the President's Climate Committment, we as a university agreed to a list of actions that will make UMass more sustainable. As a result, EPAC is currently charged with the task of writing UMass' Climate Action Plan (CAP). The ultimate goal of this CAP is to eventually bring UMass to carbon neutrality (bringing our carbon dioxide emissions down to zero). We need a plan to complete such a huge task. More Information.
