The Commonwealth College Celebration of Excellence, a cap-and-gown Honors Gold Cord presentation and Convocation for graduating Commonwealth College seniors, will take place starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Mullins Center. FILM SERIES: SEARCH FOR GREAT APES , MARCH 3 "The Unconventional World of Robert Sapolsky" Film Series will present National Geographic: Search for Great Apes, a 1976 documentary examining efforts of Dian Fossey and Birute Galdikas-Brindamour to discover new facts about the lives and behavior of gorillas and orangutans. Show starts at 8:00pm in 504 Goodell. Admission and refreshments are free.

Professor Pollin of the Department of Architecture & Design will discuss the possibilities afforded to students studying architecture at UMass as well as the exciting things she has done in her own architecture career! The 15th Annual Massachusetts Multicultural Film Festival “Africanicities: Conflict & Community” is pleased to announce TWO screenings of this week’s film, BAMAKO. The first screening—at 7:30pm on Wed, Feb 27, in SOM 137—will be introduced by the actor and producer Danny Glover. The second screening—at 7:30pm Fri 29 Feb in Mahar Auditorium—will be introduced by Amilcar Shabazz and Demetria Shabazz. All events of the 15th Annual Massachusetts Multicultural Film Festival are free and open to the public.
