Come for a personal visit or join a group information & admission session. Whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, or currently enrolled UMass Amherst student, the best way to learn about Commonwealth College is to visit us here in 504 Goodell and talk with one of our peer or professional advisors on staff.

UMass Amherst Spring Open Houses

In April, UMass Amherst is holding a series of open houses for accepted students. This is a great way for prospective students and their families to learn about UMass Amherst and Commonwealth College. Spend the day touring the campus, visiting labs and studios, meeting faculty in your major, as well as students and staff of Commonwealth College. Commonwealth College will hold information sessions as part of the Campus Open House Program. For more information and to register, go to the UMass Undergraduate Admissions website. When registering, be sure to check the box indicating you are interested in the Commonwealth Honors College.

You will also find directions to the UMass campus, parking, lodging and other information to help you during your visit.

Regular Office Hours

The Commonwealth College office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (ET). Commonwealth College students serving as peer advisors are at the welcome desk and ready to provide you with all sorts of information about the college. If you have questions they can’t answer, they’ll refer you to a professional advisor or program director for further help.

Information and Contract Signing Sessions

Entering freshmen and transfer students have an opportunity to visit Commonwealth College as part of the UMass Amherst Orientation Sessions sponsored by the New Students Program each summer and in January. Students who have been invited to join Commonwealth College may attend a contract signing session during that period.
