UMass Amherst

Information and Contract Signing Sessions

UMass Amherst Spring Open Houses

In April, UMass Amherst is holding a series of open houses for accepted students. This is a great way for prospective students and their families to learn about UMass Amherst and Commonwealth College. Spend the day touring the campus, visiting labs and studios, meeting faculty in your major, as well as students and staff of Commonwealth College. Commonwealth College will hold information sessions as part of the Campus Open House Program. For more information and to register, go to the UMass Undergraduate Admissions website. When registering, be sure to check the box indicating you are interested in the Commonwealth Honors College.

You will also find directions to the UMass campus, parking, lodging and other information to help you during your visit.

Incoming and Transfer Students

Commonwealth College student peer advisors hold regularly scheduled information sessions for prospective students and their families. They offer a student's view of life at UMass Amherst and the opportunities membership in Commonwealth College holds. They will also answer questions you may have about the College or refer you to the appropriate offices for additional advice.

Commonwealth College information sessions are held Monday through Friday at 9:30am and 3:00pm in 504 Goodell Building.

If you cannot attend a regularly scheduled information session, feel free to call our peer advisors at 413. 545.2483 or email peers@comcol.umass.edu to arrange a visit.

Current UMass Students

Current UMass students who have been invited to join Commonwealth College or who believe they are eligible to join can learn more about admission procedures and requirements at an Information and Contract Signing Session, normally scheduled during each semester's preregistration and add/drop periods. Check the Commonwealth College Events Calendar for exact dates and times. And be sure to bring your UMass Degree Progress Report with you to the session.
