The Fall 2009 Community Service Fair will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Student Union Ballroom.

This event seeks to promote community service opportunities throughout the local area. Each semseter, the Community Service Fair attracts representatives from more than 60 community organizations that address a range of issues, including poverty, the environment, advocacy, mentoring and the arts. For several hours around lunchtime, these representatives are on hand to discuss available volunteer and internship opportunities.

Community Service Fairs offer students and other members of the university community a chance to find existing opportunities to volunteer. In addition, the Fair presents faculty developing community service learning courses an opportunity to explore forming partnerships with local organizations.

Community organizations seeking to promote volunteer opportunities at the Fair are asked to register for a table. Students, faculty, staff and others are not required to register.
