COMMUNITY SERVICE LEARNING
The Office of Community Service Learning needs support to fund its newest initiatives to increase student learning and leadership opportunities, develop faculty members’ capacity to guide service-learning, and strengthen campus/community partnerships.
Campus funding provides OCSL its base to attract dedicated and qualified instructors, staff and student leaders. Support from alumni, friends, foundations and government agencies, however, makes a vital difference between adequacy and excellence in community service learning programs.
Your contribution can ensure that UMass students have challenging contexts for learning, that faculty collaborate with community for shared knowledge, and that surrounding communities benefit from as well as contribute to the University's mission.
To support the work of the Office of Community Service Learning, submit a donation online through the UMass Office of Development, contact Commonwealth College's own development officer, or get in touch with OCSL Director John Reiff.
