Get involved and serve.  Learn about community service opportunities in Amherst and beyond.  Start off the school year making a difference in the local community.

Held as part of the campus' First Week activities, Community Connection Day engages students in community service projects in the Amherst area.  Projects include working in local conservation areas, painting the interior and exterior of buildings, improving playgrounds, gardening, and other work organized through community organizations and municipal programs.  Participants receive snack bags, discount coupons from various Amherst businesses, and a chance to win cool prizes.

Students can sign up during the First Week Activities Expo, on the Campus Center Concourse or at the Office of Community Service Learning.

This event is sponsored by the Office of Community Service Learning, Community Relations and the Office of Student Affairs and Campus Life.
