Community, Diversity, and Social Justice

The Community, Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) initiative is a campus-wide effort to make UMass Amherst a more inclusive and equitable teaching, learning, working and living community.  This commitment has been adopted particularly strongly by Commonwealth College, the organizational home of OCSL.

The Office of Community Service Learning aims to build a community—both on and off campus—that appreciates and respects the diversity of its members and works to erode the societal distribution of power that has created unjust systems.
